Lions Recycle for Sight
You can help make a difference and it’s easy to do. Do you have eye glasses that you no longer need stashed in your drawers? The Lions recycle used eye glasses. The glasses are sorted by prescription, cleaned, and distributed to those in need at eye clinics around the world. Drop them off at Chamber of Commerce Mountain View, 580 Castro Street or HOPE Services, 460 East Middlfield Road. Other dropoff locations at http://www.siliconvalleylions.org/glasses.
Help us put eyeglasses into the local school systems, for kids whose families can’t otherwise afford them. Get yourself a great corned beef dinner, to boot! $20 per person, kids 12 and under are free. Chicken nuggets will be available for kids — and adults — who are fussy about corned beef! Beer and wine will be available for purchase, soft drinks are free. Irish soda bread, Irish music, raffles, door prizes and fun people to hang with. Bring your own Blarney!
