You can help make a difference and it’s easy to do. Do you have eye glasses that you no longer need stashed in your drawers? The Lions recycle used eye glasses. The glasses are sorted by prescription, cleaned, and distributed to those in need at eye clinics around the world. Final Countdown to Corned Beef Dinner benefit

Help us put eyeglasses into the local school systems, for kids whose families can’t otherwise afford them. Get yourself a great corned beef dinner, to boot! $20 per person, kids 12 and under are free. Chicken nuggets will be available for kids — and adults — who are fussy about corned beef! Beer and wine will be available for purchase, soft drinks are free. Irish soda bread, Irish music, raffles, door prizes and fun people to hang with. Bring your own Blarney!

Mayor visits SVLC: State of the City

She discussed the city’s financial condition, significant accomplishments of the past year, and future plans. Lions Screening at Day Worker Center

On November 21st, Lions from the Silicon Valley Lions Club and San José Amigos Lions Club screened vision and blood sugar for clients and families at the Day Worker Center of Mountain View. Free screening clinic

Silicon Valley Lions will perform a free diabetes, vision and hearing screening clinic at the Mountain View Day Worker Center on Saturday, November 21st from 9 to noon. The Day Worker Center is located inside Trinity United Methodist Church at 748 Mercy Street (between Castro and Church), in Mountain View. The public is welcome.
